Architect
One who designs and supervises the construction of buildings or other large structures.
One that plans or devises: a country considered to be the chief architect of war in the Middle East.
Although the duties of architects generally depend on what is designated in the employment contract, some duties are carried out as a matter of custom, such as the duty to supervise construction.
Architects have a duty to exercise their personal skill and judgment in the performance of their work, and they may not delegate this duty without express authority to do so. They may, however, delegate responsibility to subordinates while performing their duties as agents.

The manner in which a building is constructed, including the layout, floor plan style and appearance, materials used, and the building technology used.Example: The architecture of the houses in the neighborhood is characteristic of the design common to the 1930s: small rooms, much attention to detail, an elaborate facade high ceilings, and thick walls.
